Dimenl Shipping & Delivery Policy
Production visibility that extends all the way to your dock.
Effective 01 February 2025 · Covers dispatch, freight, insurance, and customer obligations.
This policy explains how Dimenl schedules production, books carriers, transfers risk, and keeps you informed from the moment an order is approved until it arrives at your facility.
1. Production lead times
Lead times depend on material availability, complexity, finishing, and queue at partner facilities. We communicate realistic schedules inside your Dimenl dashboard.
- Standard parts ship within 3–7 business days after payment confirmation unless otherwise quoted.
- Expedited or “hot” jobs may carry surcharges; availability is confirmed case by case.
- If files require engineering review, DFM approval, or fixture development, production starts once those prerequisites are closed.
- We notify you immediately if raw material supply or capacity constraints impact the target dispatch date.
2. Shipping methods and carriers
Dimenl partners with national and regional logistics providers to deliver pan-India with tracking and delivery confirmation.
- Surface freight is used for bulky sheet metal or large print batches; air express covers smaller consignments and urgent jobs.
- International deliveries can be arranged on request, subject to export controls, duties, and compliance documentation.
- If you nominate your own carrier or arrange pickup, coordination and liability transfer happen at our dispatch dock.
3. Charges, taxes, and documentation
Shipping fees, insurance, and duties are visible in your quotation or at checkout before you confirm an order.
- GST is applied according to the ship-to state and Incoterm; e-way bills are generated where required.
- For interstate shipments, ensure your GSTIN and billing details are accurate to avoid detention at checkposts.
- Dimenl provides commercial invoices, packing lists, QC reports, and test certificates where applicable.
4. Risk transfer and insurance
Responsibility for goods transfers based on the Incoterm confirmed in your order acknowledgement.
- By default, Dimenl ships on DAP basis with risk transferring on delivery; if you arrange freight, risk transfers at pickup (EXW).
- Optional in-transit insurance can be added for high-value consignments; premiums are billed at cost.
- Report visible transit damage on the proof of delivery and notify Dimenl within 24 hours so we can raise claims promptly.
5. Customer responsibilities
Accurate shipment information and timely responses keep deliveries predictable and avoid re-delivery charges.
- Provide complete delivery addresses with landmark, contact person, and unloading constraints.
- Ensure someone authorised to inspect and receive goods is present during the scheduled delivery window.
- Notify Dimenl at least 24 hours in advance if your facility will be closed or unable to accept the shipment.
- Arrange any required gate passes, site safety inductions, or unloading equipment before the truck arrives.
6. Delays, force majeure, and remedies
While we work to hit committed ship dates, certain events may be outside our control. We stay transparent and seek mitigation wherever possible.
- Force majeure events include natural disasters, government restrictions, labour disputes, epidemics, or major utility failures at partner facilities.
- Dimenl will propose revised schedules or alternate production routes if delays exceed three business days.
- If reordered production slots are required because of uncontrollable delays, new delivery dates will be mutually agreed in writing.
- You may cancel undelivered portions of an order after 14 days of force majeure by paying for work completed up to that point.
